Raymond van het Groenewoud faithfull to ….EmPad!
When the legendary Belgian / Dutch Rock and theatre artist Raymond van het Groenewoud (RVHG) went over to SE Asia for a number of shows early 2003, it was only a matter of formality to ensure he would be supplied EmPad systems for these shows.
Raymond van het Groenewoud is a long time Empad user. Since 1989 Raymond favoured the then 2nd Generation of Marcel Put's Acoustic Design touring systems. A rock solid (pun intended) foundation for a (so far) 14 year relationship between Raymond and EmPad was laid when touring service provider Eddy Vermeersch and FOH engineer Herman Peeters were brought together by Marcel Put to ensure Raymond's satisfaction on every show.
Eddy Vermeersch has emigrated out of Europe to Asia since the very early nineties. The gap left in the team proved unreplacable so around 1993 Raymond van het Groenewoud decided to invest in his own EmPad (then 3rd Generation) touring system. Herman Peeters is still the one responsible for Raymond's acquired live sound, built upon a well balanced mix of raw, loud rock and soulfully detailed music.

We at EmPad thank Raymond van het Groenewoud for his years of acknowledgement towards Marcel Put's sound system design skills priorities. Not only does Raymond prefer EmPad, he actually put his money next to his PA rider by continuing to invest in the best available: a totally hornless, high efficiency, low distortion EmPad design.
Many thanks, Raymond. Let's hope EmPad may continue to be a part of your continued drive to bring live entertainment to all people that care to listen anywhere in the world. More details? Mail us!
