Dubai, 5 February 2005:
Leaning on percussion instruments ranging from Tablas to body parts, this music gets lifted
sky high by snare instruments. In the case of SHAKTI, the snare instruments consist of
the electric mandolin and electric guitar.

This time over, Shakti featured these 7 Grand Masters Musicians and they proved that theirs is the mother of all music forms: John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussein, Shankar Mahadevan, Selvaganesh, U. Shrinivas, A.K., Palanivel, Taufio Qureshi, Vikku Vinayakram.

The emPad system was designed and engineered by Mr. Avril Rodrigues of Artes Event productions Dubai.

The main PA clusters consisted of 8 pcs CC35 full range cabinets per side in line array configuration. To get a flawless low end dispersion, 3 pcs B315 LF cabinets in cascade per side were set up in combination with 6 pcs B 315 LF cabinets as centre sub.

4 MS8 cabinets were initially set up as front fill, but SHAKTI FOH engineer Sven Hoffmann deemed these unnecessary.

A total of 12 DXA 2400 were used on FOH. Processing was 2pcs XTA226.
Monitors were MS69 all around.
Monitors were powered by 3 pcs DXA 2400. Processing was 3 pcs ESP224

Those who were present at the concert know they will never forget it.
