Description

Each pair of NPPA 6 channels contains a complete 96kHz digital loudspeaker management and control subsystem. The proccessing is built up around an extremely powerful state of the art floating point SHARC based DSP engine which have been selected with great care and research, backed up by extensive listening tests leading to performances of which rivals the finest stand alone processors. A simple PC connection allows engineers to manipulate DSP parameters to optimise the performance and develop settings for certain applications. These settings are stored in the XiB so a PC is not necessary for operation. The NPPA4 also has the capability to recall up to four different sets of settings by the means of rear panel contact closure inputs. This can be particularly important in voice evacuation applications where, for example, it may be required to mute the current source of audio, switch to an alternate input carrying an evacuation message and broadcast it with different level and EQ settings.

With a built in abuse monitoring system which get logged even without a PC connection, the amplifier will continuously record all logs against time for the temperature readings, and the state of amplifier protection for up to 3 days. These logs may be easily viewed at any time, whilst the data can even be exported to a spreadsheet for further analysis. This makes it easy to assess how systems have been used when engineers have reported problems.
